Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
The developer ("we," "us," or "our") establishes the following Privacy Policy (this "Policy") regarding the handling of the information of users (each, a "User") of the iPhone application "c-Lock" (the "App") that we provide.
1. Basic Policy
We respect Users' privacy and comply with laws and other standards concerning the protection of personal information, and we handle information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.
2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
As a rule, the App does not collect information that personally identifies a User (such as name, address, phone number, or email address). However, in order to provide and improve the App's functions, we may collect or store the following information on your device.
(1) Information you create or configure within the App
- Timer labels, durations, alarm sounds, and recently used timer history
- Task content, due dates and times, estimated durations, notification settings, recurrence settings, and alarm sounds
- Scheduled-lock days of the week, time ranges, and target apps / categories / websites
- Records of completed timers and tasks (date and time performed, duration, label, etc.)
- App settings such as theme color, appearance mode (light / dark), app icon, and onboarding status
This information is stored on your iPhone (in UserDefaults and in JSON files under Application Support) and, as a rule, is not transmitted to any third party, including us.
(2) Information related to Screen Time / Family Controls
To let you select apps to lock and to apply restrictions, the App uses Apple's Family Controls / Managed Settings / Device Activity frameworks. The identifiers (tokens) for the target apps handled by these frameworks are managed on the device as opaque values encrypted by Apple, and we do not obtain their actual content (such as specific app names or bundle IDs).
(3) Information related to purchases
Purchases of paid features, such as the Focus plan, are made through Apple's StoreKit. Verification of whether a purchase exists and of its expiration date is performed on the device or on Apple's servers, and we do not directly obtain payment information such as credit card numbers or Apple IDs.
(4) Information related to advertising and measurement
On the free plan, we display ads using Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. To deliver, display, and optimize ads, AdMob may collect information such as the following.
- Advertising ID (IDFA) or an equivalent identifier (if the User has allowed tracking via App Tracking Transparency)
- IP address and device information (OS version, model, language, region, etc.)
- Event information such as ad impressions and clicks
This information is handled in accordance with Google's advertising policies. For details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the AdMob documentation.
3. Purposes of Use
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
- Providing the App's core functions (timers, tasks, scheduling, locking, and records)
- Maintaining the themes and display settings you have configured
- Confirming paid-plan purchase status and enabling features
- Delivering ads and measuring ad effectiveness on the free plan (carried out through external advertising providers)
- Analyzing how the App is used and improving service quality and the user experience (carried out through Google Analytics)
- Preventing and addressing defects, and improving the App and considering new features
4. Provision to Third Parties
We will not provide information collected from Users to third parties without the User's consent, except in the following cases.
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government, or a party commissioned by them in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the User's consent is likely to impede the performance of those duties
5. Outsourcing and External Services
To provide and operate the App, we use the following external services. Each service provider handles information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Apple Inc. (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, Screen Time, etc.)
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/ - Google LLC (Google AdMob: ad delivery and measurement; Google Analytics for Firebase: usage analysis)
https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Information created within the App is retained on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App from your iPhone. After uninstallation, we have no means of restoring that data.
7. Analytics and Tracking
To understand usage and improve the quality of our service, the App uses Google Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) provided by Google LLC. Through this, information such as usage events (app launches, screen transitions, etc.), general usage environment (OS version, model, language, region, etc.), and an app instance ID is collected; however, this information is used for statistical analysis and is not intended to identify any specific individual. Tracking for ad delivery is performed through Google AdMob only when the User has granted permission via App Tracking Transparency. For how the collected information is handled, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
8. Use by Children
The App does not set an age restriction; however, if a guardian uses it to manage a child's device usage, please use it under the guardian's responsibility. Regarding use by children, the guardian shall understand and agree to this Policy and configure the settings accordingly.
9. Security Management Measures
We take necessary and appropriate measures to manage security, including preventing the leakage, loss, or damage of Users' information. Because information created in the App is stored on your device, please also cooperate with device-side security measures such as setting a passcode on your iPhone and keeping your OS up to date.
10. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.
If a User makes a request for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties of information obtained in connection with use of the App that constitutes retained personal data under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, we will respond in accordance with applicable law. Please direct such requests to the contact listed in Section 12.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Policy in response to amendments to laws or changes to what the App provides. The revised Policy takes effect from the time it is posted on this website or within the App, and if we make changes that significantly affect Users, we will give reasonable advance notice.
12. Contact
