Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
The developer ("we," "us," or "our") establishes the following Privacy Policy (this "Policy") regarding the handling of the information of users (each, a "User") of the iPhone application "SeeLock" (the "App") that we provide and of the App's official website, clock-app.com (the "Site").
1. Basic Policy
We respect Users' privacy and comply with laws and other standards concerning the protection of personal information, and we handle information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.
2. Overview of How Information Is Handled
The App does not use any server operated by us. All records and settings you create in the App are stored on your iPhone, and the App does not transmit them to us. Information leaves the App only when Apple's purchase or Screen Time mechanisms are used, and when the Google advertising and analytics SDKs built into the App transmit information. See Section 3 for details.
In addition, the inquiry form and the social media campaign application form on the Site ask you to enter your email address and other information. See Section 4 for details.
3. Information Handled in the App
(1) Information you create or configure within the App
To provide the App's functions, the following information is stored on your iPhone.
- Lock timer settings (duration, label, and completion sound or alarm settings) and recently used timers
- Routine settings (automatic locks for the days of the week and time ranges you specify)
- Your selection of "excluded apps" that remain usable while locked, and your restriction templates
- Lock records (start time, locked duration, label, tag, and emoji earned), your emoji collection, and your weekly goal settings and achievement reports
- Tag names and colors
- Lockdown mode and Ultimate mode settings, and the 4-digit passcode that protects changes to those settings (stored in the iPhone Keychain)
- Theme color, appearance mode (light / dark), app icon, and wallpaper settings. A photo you choose from your photo library as wallpaper is copied into the App's storage area.
- Internal app state such as reminder notification settings, onboarding progress, and how many times guidance has been shown
This information is stored in UserDefaults, in JSON and image files under Application Support, in the App Group container shared with the widgets and extensions, and in the Keychain. It is not transmitted to any third party, including us. If you have enabled iCloud Backup or computer backups in your iPhone settings, this data may be included in backups made through Apple's mechanisms, but we never access those backups.
(2) Information related to Screen Time (Family Controls)
To apply locks, the App uses Apple's Family Controls / Managed Settings / Device Activity frameworks. This permission is requested for managing your own device yourself (individual use) and is not used to manage a child's device through Family Sharing. The identifiers of the apps you select as "excluded apps" are managed on the device as opaque tokens encrypted by Apple, and we do not obtain their actual content (such as specific app names or bundle IDs). The App also does not read Screen Time usage data, such as how long you use other apps.
(3) Device sensor information
The App uses motion sensor values (accelerometer and gyroscope) so that the emoji balls move in response to how you tilt your device. These values are processed in real time for display only and are neither stored nor transmitted.
(4) Information related to purchases
Purchasing the Focus plan (a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time purchase), free trials, redeeming offer codes, and restoring purchases are all handled through Apple's StoreKit. Verification of whether a purchase exists and of its expiration date is performed on the device or on Apple's servers, and we do not obtain payment information such as credit card numbers or Apple Account details. The device stores only whether a paid plan is active, so that features can be switched in the widgets and elsewhere.
(5) Information related to advertising (Google AdMob)
On the free plan, the App shows ads in its "Records" tab using Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. To serve, display, and measure ads, AdMob may collect information such as the following.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA) (only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt)
- IP address and device information (OS version, model, language, region, etc.)
- Event information such as ad impressions and clicks
After onboarding on first launch, the App asks for permission to track through App Tracking Transparency. Even if you do not allow it, you can use all of the App's features, and non-personalized ads are shown instead. You can change this permission at any time from "Settings" > "Privacy & Security" > "Tracking" on your iPhone. In addition, Apple's SKAdNetwork may be used to measure installs attributed to ads in a way that does not identify individuals. No ads are shown on the Focus plan. This information is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
(6) Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To understand and improve how the App is used, the App uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC. The usage events the App sends are views of the Focus plan screen, taps on its purchase button (including the identifier of the selected plan), and the display of and responses to feature guidance pop-ups. In addition, the SDK automatically collects information such as the app instance ID, Apple's identifier for vendors (IDFV), OS version, model, language, region, and app launches and sessions. We never link this information to a user ID, name, or the like, and we use it only for statistical analysis. We do not collect crash reports.
(7) Notifications
All of the App's notifications (the start and completion of lock timers and routines, reminders, weekly goal reports, and so on) are local notifications scheduled on the device. The App does not use push notifications sent from a server and does not obtain a device token. The alarm feature available on iOS 26 and later (AlarmKit) also works entirely on the device.
(8) Sharing feature and photos
With the sharing feature, which turns your goal card and similar content into an image, the image is generated on the device and handed to the app you choose (such as X, Instagram, or LINE) through the iOS share sheet. Once handed over, the image is handled in accordance with that service's privacy policy. The App asks for permission to add to your photo library only if you choose "Save Image" in the share sheet. For wallpaper photos, the App reads only the photo you select in the iOS photo picker.
(9) Widgets and Live Activities
The Home Screen widgets, the Live Activities on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and the Apple Watch Smart Stack display summaries of your records and goals and the state of the running timer. This information is shared only within the device through the App Group container and is not transmitted externally.
4. Information Handled on the Site
(1) Inquiry form and social media campaign application form
The Site's inquiry form collects your email address, the type and content of your inquiry, and an optional attached image. The social media campaign application form collects your email address, the type of social media service, the URL of your post, and a screenshot of your profile screen. What you enter is sent to our email address (Gmail, provided by Google LLC) through an email delivery service (Resend, provided by Resend, Inc.), and a confirmation email is sent to the email address you entered. We keep this information as email and do not store it in any database or the like on the Site's servers.
When you apply for the social media campaign, we view the public post you reported in order to check the application conditions. If the conditions are met, we send an Apple offer code to the email address you entered.
The "Contact Us" link in the App takes you to Google Forms, provided by Google LLC. What you enter there is stored on Google's service and handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
(2) Access analytics (Google Analytics)
To understand how the Site is used, the Site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages viewed, referrers, approximate region, and browser and device type; this information does not identify individuals. You can disable measurement in your browser by opening any page on the Site with "?ga_optout=1" appended to the URL ("?ga_optout=0" re-enables it). For details, see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
(3) Hosting
The Site is served on services provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare may process access information such as IP addresses to keep communications secure and to prevent unauthorized access.
5. Purposes of Use
We use the information we obtain for the following purposes.
- Providing the App's functions (lock timers, routines, the emoji collection, records and analysis, weekly goals, widgets, notifications, the sharing feature, etc.)
- Maintaining the theme, display settings, passcode, and other settings you have configured
- Confirming your Focus plan purchase status and enabling paid features
- Serving ads and measuring their effectiveness on the free plan (performed through Google AdMob)
- Analyzing how the App and the Site are used and improving their quality and user experience (performed through Google Analytics)
- Responding to inquiries, checking the conditions of social media campaign applications, and sending offer codes
- Preventing and addressing defects, improving the App, and considering new features
6. Provision to Third Parties
We will not provide information obtained from Users to third parties without the User's consent, except in the following cases.
- Where required by law
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by either of them in performing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the User's consent would likely interfere with the performance of those duties
7. External Services We Use
We use the following external services to provide the App and the Site. Each service provider handles information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Apple Inc. (App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time (Family Controls), notifications and AlarmKit, Photos, iCloud Backup, etc.)
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/ - Google LLC (Google AdMob: ad serving and measurement; Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Analytics: usage analytics; Gmail: receiving inquiries and applications; Google Forms: inquiries from within the App)

8. Data Retention and Deletion
Information created in the App is kept on your device until you delete it within the App (for example, by using "Reset All Records" in the settings screen or by deleting tags or wallpapers) or uninstall the App from your iPhone. Because we hold no copy of this information, we cannot restore data lost through uninstalling, switching devices, resetting the device, or the like.
Information collected by Google for advertising and analytics is retained for the periods set out in Google's policies. Information you provide through the Site's forms is retained for as long as needed to respond and is then deleted appropriately.
9. Use by Children
The App is intended for restricting your own iPhone use yourself, and it does not provide parental control features for a parent or guardian to manage a child's device. Minors should use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Security Management Measures
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of Users' information and to otherwise manage it securely. Submissions from the Site's forms are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Because information created in the App is stored on your device, we also ask for your cooperation with device-side security measures, such as setting a passcode on your iPhone and keeping the OS up to date.
11. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.
For information we hold that constitutes retained personal data under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, if a User requests disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties, we will respond in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that we do not hold information created in the App, so please delete such information yourself from within the App. Please direct requests to the contact listed in Section 13.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Policy in response to amendments to laws, changes to what the App or the Site provides, and the like. The revised Policy takes effect when it is posted on the Site or within the App. If a change would significantly affect Users, we will give advance notice by reasonable means.
